Green Olive Mediterranean Cuisine

Yum yum! This is a favorite of mine for so many reasons. Good beer & wine list ,food is amazing from Filet Mignon to Salmon oh yeah can't forget the Sharma and Lamb kabobs.

Can't go wrong here! The food is very fresh and the staff is awesome! Don't let the long lines fool you. They move really quick there.

really good food I was actually surprised of how delicious and healthy they cook here I actually had the salmon with no rice just veggies and I really enjoy them the vegetables were cooked to perfection and the fish was really really good.

I’m in love with the food here. I’m a big fan of Mediterranean food and this place satisfies my craving of it. I like that I can place my order on the phone and it’s ready for pick up. I have always ordered take out from here and haven’t dined in. I ordered the chicken kabob platter which includes hummus, salad with yogurt dressing, yellow rice, pita bread, and green hot sauce. The whole plate is very filling, and the food is hot. The chicken is cooked well and doesn’t taste dry. The hummus is not bland and is full of flavor. They give you a cup of the hot green sauce which is not too spicy and it’s good for those who can’t eat super spicy food. Customer service is okay, and I know that they are super busy, so they don’t make small talk or greet. They go straight to the point but the food is always delicious so that makes up for it.

Chicken was really really good. Filet mignon was good too. But the price was pretty steep. That's the only reason for a 4 star review. It's good food but not sure about the price. Ooh and I also waited for 30 min exactly for my order to go.

Compared to many other restaurants, this is one of the good Mediterranean Restaurants. Meal is authentic in it's taste, which is good.

This is the original place in Downey. It is very small for the amount of people that comes here. Good food and service, and better than most Mediterranean restaurants. The wraps and the hummus a must.

Tasty food! Prices are a little high but, it's worth it. Portion size are good too.

Giving it 5 stars cause the quality of food was really good and the waitress was super kind with us and ask us if we needed anything all the time she was really good. Only con is that you have to wait for a table if you are with a big party but other than that it's all good Food and Service. There's a restroom at this place and they have fountain drinks and alcohol as well.

The food is delicious and the place is clean. I've brought many friends here and they always return on their own. I wish they more room but waiting is worth it.

Purchased a beef kabob platter to go. For $18.00, I received my kabob thrown in a separate container from my house salad. Parts of the salad was wilted, and I received a measly portion of pita bread (about 6' in diameter). The garlic sauce was not very garlicky, it seems like they mixed it with yogurt. I'd rather drive over to Hummus factory to receive better, tastier food for a better price.

Awesome gyro plate cannot be beat! Taste and price are on point! Gotta love those garlic potatoes!

I really like the Green Olive. Their falafel balls are amazing. The one thing I highly recommend, however, is that they stop over cooking their chicken. It tends to be dry which is disappointing, but everything else is delicious!

We always have loved green olive but they have pasted the line way too much ... come on !!!! Way too SMALL PORTIONS .. what's going on with place?? Who's making those changes?? I'm sorry but is not worth it any more.. they have lost us as customers

Green Olive in Downey opened just recently. We had delicious spicy potatoes, lamb kabob and a gyro. Both entrees came with pilaf or saffron couscous and a cucumber tomato salad dress with lemon. The meats were lean, well seasoned and done to perfection. The portions were generous. Lunch specials average $12 and regular entrees $16. We will definitely go again.

Very good food, and excellent service. However, the location is small for its crowd when it comes to lunch time. You should try the family meals if your group got enough people to have a taste of everything.

I’m so very sorry for this fast food, that was awful, we ordered chicken shawarma and it seems because it was after 9pm, they were near to ran out of chicken shawarma but didn’t say it to us and instead they bring it wrapped in a big bread and when my son ate it he said mommy I just eating bread and there’s no chicken in it.The most wonderful was that in my daughter’s plate she find a black short hair and when my husband told them they just said thank you for letting us know. We were so disappointed, it even doesn’t deserve for going one time.

Took my order over the phone and told me 20 mins! I get here and it looks like order was never placed. Had to wait another 25 mins for my order. Just a heads up they don’t give you accurate times. Plus food is expensive!!! Never again !!!

Meh....I'm giving them 3 stars because the food needs to be more fresh. The rice taste premade. Kinda like hospital rice. Hummus needs more flavor. Pita bread needs to be given warmer. Just tiny improvements. Other than that its great.

Purchased the Family Pack Kabob combo. The food wasn't enough for four people, when it should be enough for 5-6 at that price point. I paid $65.99. I had ordered the very same Kabob combo before which included a separate full box of hummus and more salads with a plate of gyro and shrimp with steak as well.; this most recent time there was only one separate plate of steak. The other two came with the corner small portion with rice and hummus. No shrimp no gyro. Quite possibly they gave me the wrong order. Nevertheless for $65.99 it was not worth it.

A pretty big menu and lots of good food to pick from.

Ordered for delivery Order was short 2 full sized side orders and there was no bread with the dinners. Food I did receive was delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant.
